Try it, like it, do it – In Batley and Spenborough Districts

We would like a range of organisations to come together under the banner of Try It Like It, Do it  to provide or promote existing activities and programmes aimed at getting people more physically active.

 

Description

Batley and Spen District Committee have provided funding for the Sport and Physical Activity Development Team to coordinate local organisations to support them in delivering activities aimed at  people who are not currently active, or would be interested in beginners and introductory sessions.  Funding could include venue hire and coaching costs if required.

 

We are looking for coaches and leaders who are interested in encouraging people to become more active, have a warm and welcoming approach and want to promote long term participation.  We are also able to support new leaders who would like to be trained up to deliver or support these sessions.

 

This project could benefit your organisation if…….

 

• your organisation puts on sessions suitable for beginners/ inactive participants which we can help you to promote
• your organisation would like to start up a new session targeting beginners/ inactive participants
• if your organisation has anyone interested in becoming an activity leader to run a new session
