Theatre in the Mill to host two of the digital dozen

This month Theatre in the Mill are thrilled to have two of the award winners of the annual digital dozen award presenting work at the venue.  The Columbia University School of the Arts Digital Storytelling Lab’s “Digital Dozen” and its Breakthroughs in Storytelling awards honour the year’s most innovative narratives. Both Duncan Speakman and Javaad Alipoor are amongst this year’s twelve winners.
This Friday and Saturday audiences can get a first glimpse of Duncan Speakman’s new work ‘Only Expansion’ commissioned by Theatre in the Mill which follows the award-winning ‘It Must Have Been Dark By Then’.

The following week we are presenting Javaad’s Alipoor's The Believers are but Brothers. A vital, timely and unsettling new work, Javaad’s performance is a compelling exploration of global politics, and the colonization of online platforms by the extremes. More prescient than ever we believe this is one of the most important pieces of theatre from one of Bradford's most exciting voices. For more details see opposite.
